For years, it served Aurora as the Wells Street School. Now, it will serve you as home.
Wells Street School has seen a few changes in its history. Originally built as the Aurora High School in 1892, the school was rebuilt on its original foundation in 1923 and completely renovated in 1952. But never in its history has a transformation like this one taken place.
Bedrooms replace classrooms. Dining areas take the place of desks and dusty chalkboards and wall maps make way for framed artwork. It’s a change no student could have imagined while their teachers lectured on.
School may be out, but there’s plenty of class left at the Wells Street Schoolhouse Lofts.
